The Art of Shibori with Haven Lin-Kirk

Shibori-Workshop_2018_flyer_web

Join Haven Lin-Kirk at Center for the Arts Eagle Rock for a one-day hands-on workshop exploring the art of Shibori.

Shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique which produces interesting patterns through the use of folding, twisting and tying fabric before exposing it to indigo. Haven will demonstrate how to mix an indigo vat using pre-reduced indigo and demo various classic Shibori techniques. Participants will make a cotton scarf and are encouraged to bring additional cotton, linen, or silk garments to dye.
