Sascha Stannard
Pioneering Teaching Artist

Sascha Stannard is an artist living in Los Angeles. Her paintings draw inspiration from moments of intimacy along with personal memories. She loves to communicate light through color and invites the viewer into a small world, where traditional interpretations of perspective do not apply. Her goal is to provide the viewer with a puzzling yet comforting escape, and her favorite medium with which create these painted retreats is watercolor. Lately, she has been expanding beyond the canvas, painting on fabrics, lampshades, and pillows to adorn homes with lively and unusual hand painted patterns.
