Linda Johnstone Allen

Linda’s (she/her) current focus is on ceramic mixed media sculpture masks and sectional figures. The pieces are often female and symbolic of nature, mythology and strength. The works incorporate high fire clay, natural materials, fabric and found objects, often created with pattern on pattern and intricate in style. There is also an appreciation of folk art from various cultures, and the relationship of humans to nature included in the design.  Linda’s background comes from an “Art” family, with a degree from USC/ Bach Arts in Art education/ Credential from Occidental College. Linda is also a CFAER Board Member & former Board Chair.

My personal belief is that creative ability in some form exists in everyone, and it makes their life fulfilled.
