“As a disabled and Native artist raised by a single, low-income parent, accessibility in the arts is top priority to me. In my curation of art shows I have always sought underrepresented artists to be displayed and given a voice. In my education practices I want to engage people who may have otherwise thought there wasn’t space for them, and reassure them to take up as much space as possible. My teaching nature is to support the innate creativity we all have as human beings, and to foster that by showing easy and affordable ways to be an artist. We all have a story, and we should all be able to tell that story.”
